It’s high on our list of recommendations for reason—don't miss out on the good beer and great atmosphere in the heart of Old Koloa Town. 

• Keoki’s Paradise - If you’re looking for great food, fantastic mai tais, and an incredible open-air setting right in the heart of Poipu, this is the place. It’s one of our favorite spots to soak in the island atmosphere. Grab a table by the lagoon and enjoy the paradise!

• Dukes - Located just a 10-minute drive from the Lihue Airport right on Kalapaki Bay, Duke’s is our favorite spot to land and immediately shift into vacation mode—or grab one last Mai Tai before heading home!

Hikes 

• Māhāʻulepū Heritage Trail - Our favorite coastal hike on the South Shore! Starting right at Shipwreck Beach, this trail winds along dramatic limestone cliffs, sand dunes, and hidden coves with incredible ocean views the entire way. It’s an easy-to-moderate hike

  • Starting Point: Shipwreck Beach parking lot (Koloa / Poipu)

  • Distance: ~3.7 to 4 miles round-trip (out-and-back, so guests can turn around anytime)

• Waimea Canyon State Park - Known as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific," this 10-mile-long, 3,000-foot-deep canyon is an absolute bucket-list stop on Kauai. You can take in the breathtaking red-and-green panorama right from the roadside lookouts, or hit one of the trails—like the popular Canyon Trail to Waipoo Falls—for dramatic ridge walks and waterfall views. This is well known for the opening scenes of Jurassic Park!

  • Starting Point:The trail begins at the Pu’u Hinahina Lookout parking lot (or via the Halemanu Drive trailhead) along Kōkeʻe Road in Waimea Canyon State Park.

• Poipu Bay Golf Course - Located along the stunning ocean cliffs of Kauai, Poipu Bay Golf Course is a highly acclaimed, Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed resort layout that famously hosted the PGA Grand Slam of Golf from 1994 to 2006

• Princeville Makai Golf Course - Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., this stunning North Shore course is renowned for its immaculate conditioning and dramatic cliffside holes overlooking the ocean and Hanalei Bay

• Ocean Course at Hōkūala - Winding through mango groves in Lihue, this Jack Nicklaus signature design boasts the longest continuous stretch of oceanfront holes in all of Hawaii

• Kukuiolono Golf Course - Gifted to the people of Kauai in the 1920s, this historic, highly affordable nine-hole course in Kalaheo offers a laid-back local atmosphere with sweeping hilltop views of the Pacific
